Hello!

I'm trying to think of some games to play at TessFest. Beer Pong will be offered, but I'd like to add to the list of entertainments. Anyone who thinks of a fun or creative idea, please message me. Or, if you had an old favorite from a past MXC, Club 135 or other event, let me know. In addition, if anyone has a Slip 'N Slide or a Twister set, those would be welcome additions (so I don't have to $ them myself.) Also looking for someone to bring a beer bong/beer funnel.

The musical lineup is pretty much set. Will announce the lineup in early August. For those of you who want to play the party but haven't spoken to me about it yet, send me a message now. The evening timesluts are booked solid but daytime Saturday is always an option.

A note about guests: Please send me a message if you want to bring someone to my party. Significant others, best friends, awesome co-workers, cool siblings, anyone who is down is welcome but I need to know about it. I get paranoid about the idea of having so many inebriated people on my parents' property - especially when I am one of them - so for my own peace of mind (and to help me plan) I do insist that guests be cleared with me first. For this reason, I won't be providing exact directions to the party until the week before. (Please follow the directions I provide when you receive them, BTW - Google will get you lost every single time.)

Since I'm not charging anything, I do request that people bring their own food and drink. I cannot possibly afford to feed all of you. Bring extra to share if you like, if we all do this then we will have plenty to go around. I'm picking up a keg and I'll have some soda, hot dogs, chips, and condiments on hand - other than that I really have to rely on my guests. If anyone has a suggestion for the beer for the keg let me know - it's been awhile since I bought one. In addition, you'll want to bring a cooler. While there is a small refrigerator on premises, I can't promise any space in it. My dad just got a huge kick-ass grill, so for those of you who are grill masters, TessFest will be a great chance to show your prowess.

The party is shaping up to be awesome. From the confirmed guests to the lineup to the location - it's all falling into place and should be a wikkid good time. Hope you are all looking forward to it as much as I am.

-Tess

I think a nature-hike/berry collection, at some point needs to happen.

As for the slipNslide... i think it might be wise to order off ebay. within the next week or so.

Mark & Heather are lending their 3-lane Slip 'N Slide, as well as the monkey faces from HEMF, so that base is covered. I'll also have an inflatable pool & a sprinkler. It's late August, so I expect it to be hot out.

Thanks for reminding me about the nature hike! I don't know if all the berries will be out of season by then, but it's always worth a wander. The woods behind the farm are full of trails, it's a lovely little hike.

Weren't a good deal of berries just coming into last time?
If i remember correctly, this year you're hosting TessFest a week or two later.

It'd be cool if we could some how encorporate the slip and slide to dump people into the pool.  but that'd involve a deal of construction and what not.

We can make our own gigantic slip-n-slide. It's really easy to do with about 100' of tarp, a tiny bit of soap, and a hose!!!. We did that for the naked slip-n-slide contest at PDF and it worked out great!!!

Tarp and hose are no problem. I doubt and of you damn hippies will bring soap  :laughlaugh:

Just throw it in the microwave & call it sake

Would an excuse from your gynaecologist for your premenstrual dysphoric disorder help?

August is here, friends.  Area we almost ready???

I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone again.  It's been a stressful couple of months out here, and we are very much in need of a vacation.  I think a little bit of frolicking outside with friends is "just what the doctor ordered."  ;)

To add to the fun, I will be bringing:
- Fantastic Elastic
- Musical weaponry
- A multitude of UV paintings
- UV lights if necessary (though the Eye appears to be working now)
- Frizbee

Dr. Joe and Christian:  Don't forget your Julian tapestries.  The flames must be lit together.  We must unite.  UNITE THE CLANS!!!

(I'm a little excited...can't ya tell?)

So it looks like my weekend days won't be so bad. I'm out at 5 on Saturday, and don't have to be back till noon on Sunday. Hoping to make it for Saturday night :)

Hi =)

Im in need of a ride down to Tessfest, and was wondering if anyone had a seat available for me. My only hitch is that I have to work on Friday, possibly until 5pm.

Can anyone help me?

* If I forgot anyone let me know. This is a huge party. Alternately, if you see your name on this list but have since decided you would rather not play, please let me know so I can make adjustments. If there is a night or time you can't play, please advise me.

Directions!!!
(Please do not Google past Route 16, you will get lost.)

Take whatever route you need to get to Route 400 south. Go south on the 400 and it will become Route 16. Follow Route 16 to Machias, at the blinking stop light turn left. Go 0.9 miles and turn right onto Route 242. Stay on Route 242 for 5.4 miles and turn left onto Bakerstand Road. Stay on Bakerstand Road for 1.4 miles and the farm camp is on the right at 3961 Bakerstand Road.

You will pass a big old barn on your right before you see the gate for the property. I'll have it decorated in some way so you won't be able to miss it. Please carpool if at all possible. It's better for the environment, saves money, and saves space. You will be able to park your car by your campsite if you want (just don't drive on the areas marked off for the septic system.)

~*~

I'm so happy TessFest is right around the corner. I'll be up there on Thursday night, so if you run into any problems or need to reach me for anything please call me at 716.308.2268. While the party doesn't really start until 5:30pm, I'll be there already so it doesn't really matter to me if someone is inspired to come early. The plan is to start dinner around 6:30pm and start the music around 7:30pm Friday.

~*~

If the people who are bringing equipment could please message me what they are bringing, that would be great. I want to make sure that I have everything that everyone needs.

~*~

Please bring blacklights, X-mas lights, extension cords, power strips, and duck(t) tape. If anyone has anything to contribute for deco, bring it and we'll see where it can go.

~*~

Don't forget to bring your camping gear! If you have a screen room, please bring it. TessFest will happen rain or shine, so lets be prepared for both and hope for the best.

~*~

I'll have some food, some drink, and some stupid. Beyond that, I can't afford much more. So, please BYO-everything and feel free to share with the Birthday Girl.

~*~

I'll be raffling off some of my blacklight paintings and jewlery and armwarmers... so don't give all your dollars to strippers, save them for the party! Remember, the party is free and I don't expect presents, so I'll be selling raffle tickets in lieu of donations.

~*~

I am so excited. Hope you all are too!

Harder.
