Semi good news...

My mixer is working again... at least, it's closer than it was before.
True test will be during open dex time i guess. Not quite sure what i'll be bringing in terms of digital stuff... but it looks to be shaping up to be quite a bit of classic techno. ;)

Daha wants to do a B2B with me - hard trance/hard techno - so I believe there will be vinyl in tow, to meet that demand.

Oh... you weren't planning to?
Hmmm... so... how do you plan to do B2B with laptops? I'm not sure how that'd work with 2 different softwares, plugged into a mixer.

Yeah, seriously... cut the fucking virtuouso crap.
if you do, we'll dump the rockstar attitudes.
:P

Hokay... so... i'm building up a sizable collection of music here for next weekend. Really good stuff... Totally... ummm Un-tesseract like.
Then again, i did play chill-trance at HEMF... so i guess that means nothing now.

Anyhow, true to my form, and as i have done in the past, I will be pulling something super special out for tess fest.  Quite a few of you were witness to Wear Sunscreen last year (which got replayed at WTDO), and there was the Sesame Street treat at Halloween for Crystal's birthday, but... Suffice to say... will be absolutely epic and may in fact be something that i run with for future events.

Tess - i have a potential guest.  Actually, i'm the chauffeur, this person would be more of a collective guest.

Sumi

She's expressed interest to Steve and Sarah, and i naturally, can provide a ride, providing  that  a) you're cool with that and b) sumi doesn't have work on Friday.

Supposedly, Lyen would like to come as well.
My understanding is that Sumi can probably ride down with Lyen.

I've FB-messaged Lyen in regards to all that.

^ hrm ... thats not quite what I said. i said that lyen and sumi were friends, so it would make sense for sumi to get a ride down with lyen. but ive not heard from lyen in over a week about this, so i dont know what her plans are.

It's getting close!!

Can you feel it??

I can almost hear the bass now!!!!

 :supz:

Still trying to nail down a few logistics. Need confirmation of who is bringing CD decks and I still need a mixer. Had a bunch of people say they would bring stuff when I first announced the party 2 months ago but now that it's a few days away I'm having problems getting confirmation.

Time slots have been determined but are subject to change. If you are performing and have an issue with your time slot let me know and I will do my best to shuffle things around. I want happy DJs. I tried my best to work with everyone's schedules and requests.

Friday

7:45-9:00       Soma
9:00-10:15       Mindslayer
10:15-11:30       Stikka

12:45-2:00       Dharma Lab
2:00-3:00       LJ2
3:00-3:30       LJ2 & Active8
3:30-4:30       Active8
4:30-5:45       MDK
5:45-7:00       Scott B.
7:00-8:15       The Oracle

Saturday

7:30-8:45       DAHA
8:45-10:00       Feebes
10:00-11:15       Phonox
11:15-12:30       Dharma Lab

Well.... things are looking like this

Lyen and Sumi would be delighted to come.  Lyen says she needs the break for personal reasons that are hers alone to discuss.

Anyhow... Tess... you're impossible to get a hold of.

I am very sorry to be missing out on "the" event of the summer. I am the best man in Jeremy Maxwell's wedding (he is actually the guy that designed the Dharma Lab logo and printed the first run of shirts way back when) ... and the Jack & Jill Stag Party is on Saturday so I have a rather large part in planning all of that. I am bummed to be missing out.

To all my friends, have a safe and amazing experience this weekend and HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY TESS!

Jos - I already talked to you. I'm not that hard to get ahold of.

Flip - Too bad you can't attend.  :(

Everyone else - I'm packing the final bits into my car and I'm heading down to the site within an hour. My cell is the only way to reach me.

I have the mixer and CD decks covered. Thanks for everyone who is pitching in. This won't be possible without everyone. I'm thankful in advance.

See you there! Bring a swimsuit for the sprinkler, it's gonna be a hot one!

I wanted the dirtiest, funkiest, most bad-ass birthday party ever, and that's exactly what I got. It's hard for me to imagine a better party, or better music, or better friends. I am so thankful to all of you who were able to attend and who helped make this wonderful weekend so wonderful. I seriously couldn't have done it without you!

I think my favorite memory of the weekend was dancing by the stage with some very hot ladies, looking at fire spinners in the field, watching some serious grilling, hearing laughter and stories from the campfire, and seeing the happy foolishness around me and realizing, "Wait, all of these people are my friends!" It was an awesome moment, and every time it came to me I had to smile.

What a lovely festival.

I want to thank everyone who helped clean up, everyone who brought gear and played music, and everyone whose laughter and energy helped make this such an amazing weekend. It was a magical moment in time for me and I truly love you all.

Thank you again for the memories. Can't wait to see the pictures.

WWWWWEEEEEEEIIIIIIRRRRRRDDDDEEEEEERRRRRR

My only regret, was that i didn't drink enough.
well... that, and not doing this years little note for the kitchen table.

Tess, once again, express/extend all of our appreciation to your folks for letting us debauch the hunting grounds.
