JEREMY P. CAULFIELD (Berlin)
Jeremy goes way back with us in Toronto. As part of one of Toronto's first quality minimal techno crews in the mid to late nineties, Jeremy went on to make it huge in Berlin with his Dumb-Unit label and travels consistently through Europe. We were lucky enough to host his last visit to Toronto two New Years ago for a fantastic night, and now we have him back again for an exclusive North American set. Dedicated techno fans are coming out of the woodwork to hear what he's up to lately.

JACOB CINO (Vancouver)
Also visiting us from out of town is this Canadian pioneer of dub and it's fusions. Jacob Cino has been producing and MCing for over 16 years. With backgrounds in drum'n'bass, he continues to expand into new bass territories, invoking a vast palate of sonic and cultural influences, all grounded in the ethos and tradition of Soundsystem Culture. Expect to hear dub, dubstep, dubby dubstep, dancehall, Zouk, reggaeton, Digidancehall, Steppers, Soca, soukous, original hybrids and everything in between. You may remember that he completely slayed our Kajama Tall Ship Sailing cruise last year – here's some of his music:
www.thirdeyetribe.bc.ca radio3.cbc.ca/bands/third-eye-tribe/

ORACLE (Buffalo)
We became aware of Oracle as a dj this last year and crowned him the best. He played such a musically confident and fun dj set at Cherry Beach this summer that we've been itching to bring him back to town ever since. As an out-of-town visitor, you really want to catch his set. He's been djing for over 10 years, having started as a visitor to his brother's radio show in Buffalo, and along the way he created Dharmalab, a dj/live combination act with friend Chris. Dharmalab was playing trance when they graced the 2004 Om Festival's main stage, but Christian's main dj dish is straightup dancefloor techno. His performances are a hybrid between a traditional dj, and a live remixer and he really knows what he's doing up there. His current laptop setup involves using midi drum pads & midi knob/fader controls, with a 4 channel traditional DJ mixer, so it involves more layers and improvisation than normal. Some lables he's liking include Plastic City, Flash Germany, Sprout, Thoughtless Music (Noah Pred's label out of Toronto), Great Stuff, and Tronicsole. Welcome to Toronto Christian.

APRICOT (Sourfly)
Sean aka Sourfly is a musical legend for people who have followed the heart of electronic music since the mid nineties. He has been a producer, a live p.a. - playing live on computers before most people got windows 98 - and a dj. His sounds have reached the far outer limits of drum and bass and techno, and his intense mind has never slowed down. He recently makes and plays a dubstep combination influenced by breaks, jungle and even UK Garage. He's a producer and when he dj's, he uses a combination of laptop and Korg 08, so he's half djing, half remixing and half playing live all during his set. He is known to many as a genius and a true musician and he works your feet and your head on the dancefloor. We consider him a headliner for this event and you do not want to miss him.

BASILISK
We were interested in featuring the best of the best for our New Years Eve party, so here's Alexander. He's long been our favourite local dj for psytrance music and now that he's moved to techno, he's become our favourite at that -a truly fine dj. He has been at the centre of musical attention for a while with his Ektoplazm trance-based label, and has now started techno-based Drumlore. He found that as his tastes moved towards a more moderate dancefloor tempo, the intricacies of the bassline came to the forefront and he developed a love for good German lables like Traum and Sprout. Like others in the techno room, Basilisk is one of those djs who can play for hours and keep your excitement, and that's why we feature longer dj sets this year. He moves to the Sunshine Coast this summer to play festivals in BC, so this may be the last time you get to hear him for a long time. Mixes at Ektoplazm.com, Drumlore.com)

KEVAN FRASER
Kf lives in Ottawa and has been a long time techno favourite of ours - his abilities are phenomenal. He's beenplaying over 10 years now, and gained a lot of recognitionas one half of the former djduoTheDukes. He's always been 'thatguy' who when he'sdjing peoplerun up to us to find out who 'that guy' is. This happens each and every time, so if you asked us last time, at either Harvest orKajama orour last Halloween party, about Kf coming backthen rest assured, 'that guy' is back.
Www.kevanfraser.com – mixes etc.

SIDENOTE
Sidenote is an exciting musician we've come into contact with this year. He plays the most interesting variations of the dubstep sound and hosts the much-loved Sensoria parties in Toronto. Recently, he's been playing gigs out of town, including a full-on warehouse party in Brooklyn featuring dubstep and b-more. How cool. He plays a smart and well chosen mix of dubstep and 2step with minor techhouse overtones – tracks with new sounds and interesting percussion. He's lately into the popular Britsh nextwave cross of dubstep and UK Funk - favourites being Hyetal, Shortstuff, Brackles and TRG. We are really excited to have him with us for New Years Eve and you will be seeing alot of him in 2010.
Check sensoria.me for a sidenote minimix

JONAH K
Jonah has long been one of our favourite djs as well as first choice of music critics in and around Toronto. At our parties he has played all the way from riproaring drum and bass to techno. Now he's become a first-choice favourite of dubstep fans, playing a slightly d'n'b infused sound. He is a part of the Sumkidz/Suma group who were behind the infamous Om Festival and related parties, and has most recently toured out to the Eclipse Festival and also to Reykjavic, Iceland. He will be a big highlight in the Dubstep room . A fantastic producer, too, check out his latest album http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/JonahK2

ROLLIN' CASH
Roland has always been one of Toronto's busiest heads for digging up hidden music gems of a loosely breakbeat nature. He's never stopped music collecting and party throwing since we met him 12 years ago, and you can find him imbedded somewhere behind most great projects in the city. He is one of our partners for the night and brings a superb mind and personality to the event.

GOOD TIMES GANG (our visiting promoters in Room 3)
This group has been coming together to celebrate and have fun for a number of years now. It sees at it's centre a dynamic group of mature people who love to create and build and instigate. With strength in numbers, you'll see them wearing consistently awesome getups at halloween, handing out jello shooters in tuxes at Cherry Beach, dancing in robot and ape costumes and more. They get out of town frequently to throw themselves parties in campgrounds, barns and other unique venues just for the excitement of it. The spirit of their parties is genuine, avid, creative and fun and we're happy to have partnered with them for New years Eve. Here's some knowledge about their djs:

Mike Ryan
Mike has always impressed us by being technically flawless and a great party dj and hosting his unique parties at the same time. He's hosted an annual lakeside campground event for 100 people, a winter N.Y.E. party in a barn and more. He puts everything he has into a party, and it really shows. Expect to hear a lot of house on the slightly progressive tip, with some variety of great tracks that mix well and keep the party moving. Mike and friends love building things with blinking lights and stuff, and he's inventing some cool stuff specifically for new years eve.
Some mixes at Www.mikeryan.com

Mark Baker
Mark has a background in various live instruments and it shows in his dj sets of house and tribal. You may have heard him play in the sun at those lakeside events at that cool legion hall on Lakeshore West this summer. He's been like a Santa Elf over the holidays building the light and decor projects for this New Years Eve

Jonny Lim
Jonny has been a consistently requested dj for the Good Times Gang events, and with over 10 years djing experience, it's no wonder. He was the star at their Halloween event in a small former church this year. He has a fondness for tracks that have something musically challenging in them and will be playing a set of techy house and melodic techno.

Terry D
Terry will be opening our New Years Eve event with great party-starting set of funk and disco. Terry modestly refers to himself as a world famous livingroom dj and has been with us since playing the very first Cherry Beach parties starting in 2001. We know that he always delivers the fun either when he's playing at his own yearly Roller Disco Experience event in the summer at Bathurst and Dundas, or holding up the fantastic spirit of the Good Times Gang parties.
